Feeling Lonely In a New City

Nestwarm is a quiet, judgment-free chat on WhatsApp — always there, when you don't know who to talk to.

Why Loneliness Often Follows a Move

Moving to a new city means starting fresh: new streets, new routines, and often, fewer familiar faces.
Even if the decision iss exciting, the days can feel strangely empty once the boxes are unpacked.

Research shows that major life transitions, like relocation, temporarily reduce social contact and belonging.

Relocation is one of the strongest triggers for loneliness, especially in the first 6–12 months.
Digital connections can help ease the gap, but emotional presence is what matters most.

Nestwarm Is Here For You.

When everything around you is new, the silence can feel louder. Nestwarm is there when you don’t know who to talk to yet – a space to share what’s on your mind, without having to explain yourself.

You can reach out anytime, especially on quiet evenings, when you just need a human reply.

On WhatsApp: Easy to start, no setup needed. Encrypted by default, familiar to use.
Anonymous on your terms: No profile, no personal details. You decide
what to share in the chat.

Common Questions

What languages can I use?
Nestwarm is currently available in English and German - but we are expanding the languages weekly. If you’re more comfortable in German, you can switch the site and proceed on WhatsApp from there.
What safeguards are there against harmful content or crises?
Outgoing messages go through multi-layer moderation to block sexual, hateful, violent, or illegal content. If self-harm/crisis language is detected, a minimal snippet is securely escalated to trained counselors for human review and potential hand-off.
Is this therapy or dating?
No—Nestwarm positions itself strictly as an AI companion for social support. There’s a clear opening disclaimer that it’s not medical/therapeutic advice or matchmaking.
Will you message me first or spam me?
No. A chat only starts after you opt in on the site (consent is logged), and you can stop anytime by replying “STOP” in WhatsApp or blocking the number. Business-initiated messages use Meta-approved templates and respect the 24-hour session window.
Is it private and GDPR-compliant?
Messages travel via WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption; at rest, Nestwarm stores data with AES-256 on EU-hosted infrastructure. Messages are processed to deliver the service and routed to OpenAI’s EU API endpoint; you have full GDPR rights (access/erasure). Storage periods include 7 days for server logs and—importantly—chat logs are retained up to 30 days after you delete your account.
How do I start?
Scan the QR on your site (or tap the “Start WhatsApp Chat” button). You’ll get a message on WhatsApp, pick a companion (Anna or Ben), and just start texting. No separate app or login required.
What exactly is Nestwarm?
Nestwarm is an AI companion you chat with on WhatsApp—meant for low-pressure company when you’re bored or feeling lonely. It’s not therapy or life coaching; it’s simply “someone who replies,” 24/7.
